Terms You Should Avoid When Creating Promotional Materials

byadmin

Are you getting ready to create your next set of promotional marketing materials? If so, there are obviously some things that you will want to be sure to mention. However, when it comes to these marketing materials, some people continue to make the same mistake – again and again. In order to avoid a serious marketing mishap, you should avoid certain phrases when sending your promotional materials to the printers In Orange County.

“Despite Popular Belief…”

You need to work hard to avoid any sentence that will qualify your businesses claims regarding quality. This means that you do not need to create a preface, such as “we are the best” with a phrase such as “no matter what you may have heard.” You should not put any type of doubt in the heads of your potential clients. The promotional material that you create needs to leave them with the idea that they have never heard anything other great things about your brand or company.

“When You’re Not Satisfied…”

It is important that you avoid any type of “no” sentences. You should keep everything positive – avoid anything negative. Even when you are advertising a money back guarantee, you should attempt to use language that is more positive. An example of this would be using a sentence such as, “While you will experience complete satisfaction, we now offer a money back guarantee because you are a valued customer.”

“Our Happy Employees…”

It is essential that you avoid any type of text that is labeling your employees as being content or hard working. Even though you may have the most industrious employees that could not be happier with their jobs, your workers are not some of Santa’s elves. When you use them as a tool for your business, it is dehumanizing and your clients will be able to pick up on that.

“We are Better than the Competition”

Even though you need to identify that you are, in fact, the very best in your industry, you should not name any other specific company or their products. There is no one who will like negative gossip or if you are constantly bashing your main competition. Chances are this will just come off as annoying to your potential customers. While you can make subtle hints that your rivals are inferior, you should not single out any business, this will be seen as petty.

High school orders shot glasses as prom favors

Monday, May 11, 2009

Several Lancaster County, Pennsylvania high schools held their junior-senior proms this past weekend, and per tradition, they received gifts from the prom committee. Instead of traditional prom favors, however, Warwick High School in Lititz ordered more than 450 shot glasses and distributed them to students, in a move the administration now says it regrets.

In 2008, the Prom Committee gave out picture frames to the girls and money clips to the boys. However, the junior class did not have as much money this year, and so the school made a decision to buy an inexpensive prom favor. The school’s principal signed off on the decision to order the shot glasses, but assistant principal Scott Galen states that the paperwork identified the shot glasses as merely “prom souvenir[s]”.

While the school administration took responsibility for the decision to order the glasses, Galen called it a simple oversight. Senior Class President Phoebe Baum, who had helped plan the prom the previous year, remarked that it was likely a decision made in a time crunch and was not fully thought through. Galen said that the administration did not wish to send a message that condoned underage drinking.

Learn About Beautiful Dc Porcelain Veneers

byAlma Abell

Though there are many cosmetic dental treatments that can be used to improve the appearance of a person’s smile, there is one that is gaining more attention than others. DC Porcelain Veneers allow many types of cosmetic dental concerns to be concealed so a smile can be perfected. As advancements have been made in the way the process is carried out, there is less invasion than ever before, so the procedure is not only safe, but also effective.

Porcelain veneers are custom made for patients, so they fit perfectly over their prepared teeth. These tooth-shaped shells are adhered right over the teeth, completely covering any visible surface area. To make the veneers, the dental lab will need impressions. These are made by the dentist and then sent to the lab so the perfect DC Porcelain Veneers can be made.

To prepare the patient’s teeth, the dentist will use shaving tools that remove a small amount of tooth tissue. This is done so the veneer will fit in place without any unnatural protrusion. This part of the process rarely causes any pain though the dentist may use numbing medication for added protection.

Porcelain veneers are first dry fitted to make sure they fit perfectly before being permanently adhered in place. This is crucial to avoid fit issues that may need to be taken care of before the final placement.

Each veneer is carefully adhered in position with a dental adhesive that quickly cures and hardens. Once fully cured, the adhesive can stay in place for up to twenty years. When all veneers are in place, the patient will be instructed on proper care.

Proper care is important for keeping veneers looking and performing their best. The dentist will inform his patient of what foods and activities will need to be avoided. Proper cleaning and maintenance will keep the veneers beautiful for many years to come.

Learning more about porcelain veneers can help people make the decision on whether or not this procedure can help their smile. You can discover more info here by visiting The dc dentist. Through their dental services, you can have a healthy and beautiful smile.

California governor Schwarzenegger presents new budget plan

Saturday, May 15, 2010

California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger unveiled a new budget plan for California on Friday, claiming that the Californian economy faces growth and budget problems like eurozone countries such as Greece and Ireland.

Schwarzenegger said in a Sacramento press conference that California must cut spending to US$12.4 billion.

To achieve this goal, the governor proposed cutting the CalWorks welfare system; however, state lawmakers quickly rejected this. Schwarzenegger said cutting the state welfare system for low-income families would save the state government $1.6 billion.

The governor also proposed freezing funds to local public schools and cutting state workers’ incomes.

He wants to cut programs for the treatment of narcotics addiction for those using Medi-Cal and cut state mental heath services by 60%.

California is set to receive monetary aid from Washington, D.C. worth $3.4 billion.

California State Senate president Darrell Steinberg, a Democrat, said, “The cuts are absolutely unacceptable,” and the governor should focus on delaying business tax cuts.

British Prime Minister David Cameron makes unannounced visit to Libya

Friday, February 1, 2013

British Prime Minister David Cameron made an unannounced visit to the Libyan capital city of Tripoli yesterday after visiting Algeria earlier in the day.

David Cameron pledged that Britain would help in training Libya’s security forces. He said in a joint press conference held with Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan that “the British people want to stand with you and help you deliver the greater security that Libya needs”. Cameron also reiterated his support for the French-backed intervention in Mali, denying suggestions put to him that foreign intervention in Islamic countries would lead to a backlash against Western nations by al-Qaeda.

The security was tight during his walkabout in the Martyrs’ Square, where police attempted to hold back the locals as a police helicopter flew overhead. His visit to Tripoli comes in the aftermath of recent threats to the British embassy and just a week after British citizens were urged to leave the second largest city of Benghazi due to a “specific and imminent” threat to Westerners.

Police officers investigating the 1988 Lockerbie bombing from the Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary have been granted access to new information to help them with their inquiries. In 2001, Abdelbaset al-Megrahi was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment but was released in 2009 on compassionate health grounds and died last year.
